by the new Huggies Pure and Nautral diapers that were just released. Although their packaging screams eco friendly and organic, they are actually far from it. I recently bought some to see if they had in fact come out with something worth while for eco conscious moms who prefer not to use cloth diapers. What I found was this….

They call out “Organic Cotton” in a big way- however the diaper only contains some organic cotton in the outer cover…it is not completely organic. They state there are “less inks”, all this means when you read their fine print, is that there are less inks than their Huggies Natural Fit diapers- this does not say much.

The diaper is NOT BIODEGRADABLE, so it will sit in a landfill for 500 years or so. That does not exactly scream “pure and natural” to me.

Yes, the diaper fit well. Yes is worked on my son and did not leak.  However, so do G Diapers, and Nature Babycare diapers and these are truly earth and baby friendly.

As you know, I blog in an effort to pass along all the latest and greatest on stylish green baby products, but I have to admit that I get almost all the inspiration and ideas from my son, Jack. Thanks to him, I have tried over 7 sippy cups, 5 organic food brands (not including my own homemade creations), 5 or 6 natural baby wipe brands, 3 non toxic/biodegradable diaper brands, countless teethers and toys, 4 natural detergents and even more non toxic cleaners, an insane amount of clothing brands, over 15 different blankets, several organic swaddlers, one bath care line- Erbaviva (that’s because it was so perfect I had no desire to try anything else on my son’s sensitive skin) and the list goes on…. All in the name of finding the best in healthy, sustainable and always stylish baby products. It isn’t easy…and my husband often wonders why there are so many “no’s” sitting around…well if you ask me, my son deserves the best, as does your baby. So, that means searching, testing and retesting each product for each stage of development….so that Jack and I can bring you our Organic Baby Blog filled with new ideas to maintain your gorgeously green lifestyle. That’s right, its getting cold outside, from San Diego to New York and everywhere in between babies are being bundled up to face the cold of winter…but how do you protect those adorable, squeezable, lovable cheeks? If your baby is like mine, their skin is super sensitive to cold and dry weather, and right now, even here in Southern CA, its cold enough to give him super rosy (and chapped) cheeks! My remedy- Erbaviva’s Lip and Cheek Balm, followed by their baby lotion if his cheeks are really effected by the elements. Erbaviva’s products are sensitive and effective, and all natural. I would not put anything else on my little man’s pure and gentle skin…

Minted has an incredible assortment of holiday cards to choose from and you can do any of them in Premium 100% Recycled paper (for an extra fee of $17)- plus they are clean, unique and full of style. Here a few of our favorites from Minted…


Tiny Prints offers some great options too, and I have to say their customer service CANNOT be beat! They have a live chat system that is efficient and accurate. They contact you by phone or email if you have a spelling or grammatical error, or need help with image uploading. Their staff is beyond friendly…a very refreshing and unique business model in this day and age of mass retailers focused on price alone. I am a HUGE fan!
