Peek a BOO! Last minute Halloween ideas…
- October 29, 2009 -
Ok, so there are only 2 days until Halloween, and if you are like me, I have yet to go shopping for the 20 people coming over for dinner or prepare for my son’s first big holiday! No worries, I have a few ideas that can help save some time and ensure a fabulously spooky and delicious Halloween!

What to serve for dinner??? PEPPER BELLIES! Its easy, unique and perfect for the crisp Fall air.
INGREDIENTS: Freetos (individual snack bags), chili (homemade or store bought is just fine!), grated cheddar cheese (I recommend Tillamook), chopped white onions, sour cream, salsa and if you are ambitious…guacamole.
INSTRUCTIONS: Cut the top off the freetos bag, leaving room to pour in the chili and toppings. Add in as much chili as you like (I think 1 cup is perfect)…then, have fun dressing up that chili with all the fixings! Cheese, sour cream, onions, salsa and guac and you are in heaven!! Serve directly out of the Freetos bag for easy cleanup and unique presentation:)
What to decorate with?? Mini pumpkins- so chic and so cheap!
Whether on your front porch or on the dining table these will look great while not costing you a ton….carve polka dots, the first letter of your last name or a traditional jack-o-lantern face. Or, for a more formal look, cut a whole in the top just big enough for a tall candle, and use them as candle holders. Finish the look with harvest leaves from the family tree!
